Strategic IT Review for SME Solicitors
Lights-On supports SME with a clear, concise IT strategy as part of a Strategic IT review
SME Solicitors needed high-level advice and direction during an IT systems upgrade to ensure the project delivered what they needed. With Lights-On's help with a strategic IT review, the project was a success.
The first step in the process was to establish the current situation of the IT provision within the firm:
• We completed a due diligence process
• We conducted interviews with partners and staff
• We spoke to their suppliers to ensure we had a complete understanding of the project
We compiled this data and information into a formal report document, which gave SME an overview of the current situation, the ideals for the future of the firm, and practical steps to move forward.
Supplier management
We acted on behalf of SME Solicitors when talking to suppliers, sometimes having difficult conversations that needed to happen to ensure SME was receiving the best possible customer service. As an independent IT consultancy, this meant that we could politely challenge, without upsetting the client-supplier relationships.
SME is now in a situation where the firm has a clear vision of its IT.
“We instructed Lights-On to undertake an Executive Review of our IT, while we were in the process of upgrading our systems and applications, to include a new CMS. We found ourselves caught between a number of suppliers and were unsure of the best way to proceed, with a growing concern that the upgrade project would not be a success.
Lights-On worked with us to identify where we were, what needed to be done to make the project a success, what was needed more generally from our IT systems and identified key recommendations going forward. Throughout the project Lights-On was approachable, clear and pragmatic. They had control of the project, ready to drive it to its conclusion. Without the support of Lights-On, I have no doubt that the project would not have been a success.”
